Hostile Skies Damage Calculator

DPS between any two planes.

Damage Calculator

The damage calculator works out the damage per second (DPS) and time-to-kill (TTK) between any two Hostile Skies planes. Pick a source plane, a target plane, and a weapon set, and the calculator outputs the result.

Inputs

  1. Source plane — your plane.
  2. Target plane — the enemy plane you want to kill.
  3. Weapon set — your chosen guns.
  4. Range — engagement distance.

Outputs

  • DPS (damage per second)
  • TTK (time to kill in seconds)
  • Accuracy estimate based on range

How to use the result

Compare the calculator output against the Weapon tier list. If your DPS is below the global tier for the same weapon set, you may want to swap weapons or close the range.

Pair this with the Plane stat database for accurate HP numbers.

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting to set the range — DPS drops with distance.
  • Picking the wrong weapon set — twin MGs and cannons have different curves.
  • Ignoring the upgrade toggle — upgrades add 15% HP to the target.

When the calculator helps most

Use it when you are theorycrafting a new loadout. The calculator outputs the rough DPS so you can compare two weapon sets without leaving the wiki.

What the calculator does not do

  • It does not account for pilot skill.
  • It does not simulate missile locks or counter-manoeuvres.
  • It does not model team play.

Pair with the Loadout builder

Once the calculator tells you the strongest weapon set, use the Loadout builder to assemble the full build.

How the calculator estimates DPS

The calculator reads the DPS curve from the Weapon tier list and adjusts it based on the source plane, the target plane HP, and the engagement range. The output is a rough DPS that is good enough for theorycrafting but not for precision math.

Use it when you are choosing between two weapon sets. The calculator outputs the rough DPS so you can compare options without leaving the wiki.
