How to Complete Events

Hostile Skies events run every weekend and every holiday. Each event has its own rule set, scoring, and reward pool. This guide covers the recurring event formats and how to climb the leaderboard.

Event types

EventGoalScoring
Dogfight RoyaleLast team standingPer kill + bonus for survival
Bomber RunDestroy ground targetsPer target + speed bonus
Ace Duel1v1 bracketPer round win
Capture the BaseHold the airbasePer second held
Ace HunterKill the boss acePer kill + team bonus

Loadout priority

  • Dogfight Royale — S-tier dogfighter from the Plane tier list, twin MGs, Engineer companion.
  • Bomber Run — Mosquito or B-25 with bombs + rockets, Gunner companion.
  • Ace Duel — Energy fighter (P-51 or FW 190 D-13) plus ESP helper to read the opponent.
  • Capture the Base — Multi-role (P-38 or Ho 229) with a mix of guns and bombs.
  • Ace Hunter — Multi-role with guns and bombs, plus a wingman.

Scoring tips

  • For Dogfight Royale, do not chase low-health targets; reset to altitude.
  • For Bomber Run, hit three ground targets in quick succession for the speed bonus.
  • For Ace Duel, commit to boom-and-zoom; turn fights lose to better turners.
  • For Capture the Base, sit above the airbase at 2,500 m and dive on anyone who enters.
  • For Ace Hunter, follow your team; solo runs score worse.

Event rewards

Most events reward cosmetics, credits, and a unique event title. Top 100 on the leaderboard also unlocks a permanent badge.

How to read the leaderboard

The leaderboard sorts pilots by event score, not lifetime score. The score resets at the end of each event. Aim to break into the top 100 once you have a strong loadout.

Pair with code boosts

Redeem the Active codes XP boosters before joining an event. The boost applies to all the XP you earn during the event window.

Why events feel different

Events change the lobby rules — sometimes you cannot respawn, sometimes the map is smaller. Read the event description carefully each time. The How to fly guide covers the controls; events mostly change the scoring, not the controls.
