Hostile Skies Find Secret Areas

Hostile Skies hides several secret areas and Easter eggs in every map. Most reward cosmetics; a few grant a temporary XP boost or a rare paint job. This guide lists every secret we have confirmed.

Where to look

• Above the cloud ceiling at 5,000 m.
• Below the ocean floor near the south-west island.
• Inside the bombed-out factory complex on the eastern map.
• On top of the highest mountain ridge.
• Behind the dam on the western map.

Cloud ceiling

Fly straight up from the spawn. At 5,000 m, you break through a thin cloud layer and enter a hidden airspace with a single decorative biplane. Land next to it for a free XP token.

Ocean floor

Dive south-west from the runway. There is a hidden reef at -800 m with a sunken U-boat. Inside the U-boat is a permanent cosmetic reward.

Factory complex

The factory complex on the eastern map hides three collectibles:

1. A black box on the second floor.
2. A radio inside the watch tower.
3. A dog tag under the rubble.

Each collectible grants a one-time credit bonus.

Mountain ridge

The highest mountain ridge has a hidden hangar. Inside sits a rare P-51 skin (Allied) or FW 190 skin (Axis). You need to land precisely on the ridge to enter.

Dam

The western map dam has a secret room behind the floodgate. Inside is a one-time-only XP token worth 5,000 XP. The door opens only after a specific event triggers.

Why these secrets exist

Developers scatter secrets to reward exploration. New secrets drop with each major patch; check the Latest patch page when a new patch lands.

How to find new secrets

Three reliable methods:

1. Watch community YouTube channels for new secret discoveries.
2. Read the developer’s Discord announcements.
3. Open the ESP helper to highlight secret walls and outlines.

Common mistakes

• Diving too steeply on the ocean floor — you crash into the seabed.
• Trying to land at the mountain ridge at full speed — overshoot.
• Forgetting to dismiss the menu before opening the secret door.

What to do once you find a secret

Screenshot the secret and post it on the community Discord with the coords. This helps other pilots find it and helps the wiki verify the location.
