Why we keep expired codes
Expired codes help players identify when a campaign or event ended. The list below pairs each retired code with the patch that closed it. If you try a code and see “expired”, check the list — if it is here, the code is permanently retired.

How to spot a soon-to-expire code
The developers usually telegraph retirement: the in-game announcement channel will warn 48 hours before the cut-off, and the code is removed from the Active codes page the same day. Subscribe to the patch notes via the Updates hub to never miss a drop.
What replaces expired codes
Retired campaign codes usually come back as part of the next major event with a new name. For example, the holiday codes return every December with a fresh reward list, and the anniversary skin returns every September.
Why the developers retire codes
Codes are retired for two reasons: the campaign ends, or the developer wants to swap the reward out for a new cosmetic. Either way, the same code will not work twice, but a similar code will land with the next patch.
Long-term pattern
Most seasonal codes return within twelve months of their retirement. One-off campaign codes rarely come back.

How the expired list is kept current
The expired list is regenerated every time a working code is retired by the developer. Each entry shows the original reward tier, the date it expired, and the patch that retired it. New pilots can use the list to spot reward cadences — for example, every anniversary drop in 2024 retired the previous anniversary code within 30 days. The list is searchable, and each row links to the equivalent active code (when one exists) so you can recover the reward if you missed the original window. The wiki never deletes an expired entry; it stays as a historical record for pilots who want to see the meta evolve. The team cross-references the list with the Latest patch page so the timing matches the in-game banner.
