Hostile Skies How to Get Codes Fast
Never miss a code drop again.
Codes are the fastest way to add credits and XP to your account. New codes drop with almost every patch and most weekend events. This page covers every place a code can land so you never miss a drop.
Where codes appear first
The single fastest source is the developer’s Discord announcements channel. Within 30 seconds of any code drop, the announcement channel will have the code posted with the reward list. Bookmark that channel and turn on push notifications.
The second fastest source is the in-game announcement banner. Most code drops come with a banner that lists the code directly above the play button. If you see a banner that says “New code available”, the code is right under it.
The third source is this wiki’s Active codes page. The wiki updates the active list within an hour of any drop, including the reward type, expiry, and a copy button so you can paste it into the game without leaving the lobby.
Where codes appear later
- Trello leaks — community-maintained Trello boards sometimes mirror codes ahead of the public drop. Treat these with caution; some Trello codes are placeholders that never went live.
- YouTube creators — popular Hostile Skies YouTubers cover codes in their first-week videos after each patch. The codes are usually already public by then, but the videos are useful for reward context.
- Reddit threads — the r/HostileSkies subreddit has a pinned codes thread that updates within the same hour as the Discord channel.
How to redeem codes fast
The fastest path is in-game: press the menu button, tap the Twitter icon (yes, the bird icon on the main menu opens the code box), paste the code, hit redeem. The code box also lives behind the settings cog. Most codes grant credits and XP, but a handful unlock skins or permanent banners.
For a step-by-step guide with screenshots, see the How to redeem codes page.
How fast do codes expire
Most codes expire 7 to 14 days after the patch that introduced them. Anniversary and holiday codes stay live for 30 days. A handful of codes are permanent (usually reward skins) and never expire. Check the expiry column on the Active codes page before you redeem.
What to do if a code does not work
- Check you typed it exactly — codes are case-sensitive.
- Check the Expired codes page to confirm it is still active.
- Restart the game. Some codes only register after a fresh login.
- Open a ticket in the developer’s Discord. Most expired-code issues get a replacement within 48 hours.
How to stack codes with events
Redeem every active code before you start grinding an event. The event XP multiplier stacks on top of the code XP multiplier, so a 2x event plus a 2x code equals 4x effective XP for the duration of the match. See Event schedule for current windows.
Why this matters
A typical Hostile Skies patch drops 3 to 5 new codes. Anniversary patches drop 10 or more. If you miss a single patch’s codes, you can lose a week of grinding headroom. The fastest pilots check the Active codes page every Thursday evening before the rotation lands.
For the full active list, see Active codes. For the redemption flow, see How to redeem codes.
